Clash – Moodulab Sounds

Podcast name: Moodulab Sounds by Clash
Host: Clash
Genres: Techno / House / Broken Beats
Thursday 6pm UK

Moodulab Sounds is a simple recipe: take two oscillators, detune them and blend on a S/H LFO at 60Hertz. Down an unprescripted medicine vial with friends and go for a night out, to return at 3 a.m., glance at a mirror attempting to recognise who looks back and garnish with generous amounts of kick, hi-hat and snares. Phasers and distortion to taste.

Focusing on Techno, Lo-Fi House, Ambient, Downtempo, IDM and other synonyms experimental electronica music, it’s hosted by Jorge Pérez – a.k.a. Clash – the leader and founder of the netlabel lending its name to the show, where he’ll enthral and astound us with his team’s latest productions whilst exploring the global context of his editorial, giving account of the artists and projects that inspire him and contribute to the refinement of this genre spectrum.

Moodulab Records emerges like a fully-formed label around 2011 in Valencia, Venezuela, bringing together the compositions of Clash, Philco and Kiev, among others. Posessing particular distinction of a completely integrated graphic aesthetic developed by the label’s long time contributor and partner Luis García (a.k.a. Crini). As of now, the label has a collection of 8 releases, including two compilation albums and one LP, featuring collaborations with high-profiling Venezuelan electronic artists from the likes of Lakra (our own Joni Forest‘s gangsta incarnation), Sunsplash, Bagéack, Ordep Zerep, Mr. Ioso, Deuda (a.k.a Issy Kareoki), V1L, Greencross, Rob Chiriquí and Code Deploy.
