Jaymie Silk releases ‘Canvas’, his new self-released album
Dj and French producer Jaymie Silk is coming back to Europe after several years living in Montreal (Canada). Before he goes, Silk presents his first self-released album ‘Canvas’. A 7 tracks production piece where the artist tells us about his creative process as well as the inspiration behind each song.
From club music that resonate in the mind of a broken-hearted alter ego, to creative frustrations that trigger thoughts of “I would kill you all” to a more bright state of mind, festival-worthy tracks such as “Like That”, full of drums, percussions and a lot of energy.
This production is the most versatile version of Jaymie Silk to date. Where he opens up to give us a personal statement of his musical DNA with club, ambient, tribal, and afro sounds manifested in different shapes.. In some blasting with more energy and in others a bit more sentimental and introspective.
Discover each one of these songs from the words of Jaymie Silk himself. In this podcast he tells us his perception of life as a canvas on which we paint every day but sometimes we need a break to find within, the best version of ourselves.
This is the prelude to the official premiere of the album, ‘Canvas’ will be available on all digital platforms on June 12th. The album was mastered by Jared Leopard of Club Can not Hear and behind the cover art was Anisha Patel, Brom and Romain Belleville.
