Aaron Rose is all about you

PRO ERA – American hip-hop collective from Brooklyn, New York has steadily been on the wave for years now. Anyone who appreciates the gritty, raw old-school sound will definitely appreciate Pro Era, as each member of the team has their own authentic sound and creations. 

 

The star pupil, Joey Bada$$ just recently released his All AmeriKKKan Bada$$ album that dropped April 7th – to represent 47 which is a huge representation of the whole collective. Former member Capital STEEZ founded the whole 47 movements, representing both the 4th and 7th chakras – the heart and the crown chakra. The whole representation is the battle between your heart and mind, and balancing the two to gain balance in life, although many other fans would find their own meaning to it – it’s relatable to everyone.

After that, members Kirk Knight and Nyck Caution dropped their collab project Nyck @ Knight not even a month ago. All produced by Kirk Knight – both go hard on the project, back and forth with the proper rhymes and lyricism. Most of the tracks being energetic and hard-hitting like in Dial Up– they do have a few slower tracks such as No One Seems to Care. You can really tell the effort and time – not to mention passion and soul they poured out into this album.

Now Aaron Rose has released a single on PRO ERA’s Soundcloud page, but the sound is completely different than Nyck @ Knight. Aaron Rose’s All About You produced by Latrell James brings a slower melodic with romantic vibes. Reflecting on a girl he’s been thinking about, Aaron created an anthem for guys (or even girls) who reminisce on someone who they think about. Dreaming about this person, and knowing they are the one, but there’s still a tension between the two – making the situation confusing and chaotic.

 

At the same time, he gets sensual with the chorus: “It’s all about you for the night, like baby girl what you like, there’s only you in my sight.” As he goes on speaking how even if the decisions they made we were wrong, it feels right being in her presence – “It’s all about you for the night/Or we could make it for life/Even if it was wrong/You make a nigga feel so right/It’s all about you for the night.”

A love ballad with a mix of regret, chaos, and sensuality – Aaron put a lot of feeling into this track while managing to make it catchy while staying true to keeping the lyricism on point. Unsure of this track will be on a near Pro Era album or a solo project of Aaron Rose himself, it’s definitely a vibe to listen to for the meantime.
