Arriving to the end gate of 2019 we present our guest mix # 0028 with Dj Sosa, with a DJ set that represents the end of his trajectory as a selector.

Sosa began his music journey more than 10 years ago in the Dominican Republic where he began mixing strictly house and techno, then he migrated to Europe where the deconstructed club music movement raged him, opening the doors to the re-exploration of his identity as a Dominican.

Thus, reconciling with his roots he began his role as a DJ, selecting restless and violent rhythms mostly from Latin America and Africa, veiled behind abstract, cathartic and sometimes punishing electronic sounds that flirt with the cliches of world music.

This mix for WIDE represents Dj Sosa ‘s vision of club music, where diasporic rhythms are intertwined freely with a wide diversity of musical styles and genres.
