WIDE Radio X Noods Residency – 11th Jul 2020

 

WIDE Radio presents Isamit Morales a visual artist, researcher and DJ, currently based in Barcelona, Spain. She is the founder of the Sin Sync School (2018), a feminist non-binary space that seeks to share basic principles to learn DJs far away from colonial and hegemonic methodologies, at Sala VOL in Barcelona and recently online format too.

 

Now under her new alias: Jacarandá, she shows us sound landscapes contextualised in her roots. A saucy combination that also illustrates her umbilical cord divided between Venezuela and Chile.

 

“Perreo al Sur” Mix explores some south’s storytelling, especially those from Latinoamerica, starting with her’s new Edit, which is a chilean band Los Prisioneros “Tren al Sur” s version,  touring through memories that shapes into reggaeton, ambient, dembow,  speed bubbling and acid bass.
