Makinmovs is the Chilean netlabel for Footwork, Juke, Future Beats and its musical tributaries (Bass Music, Jungle, Breakbeats and that diffuse region between Hip-hop, Dub,  Reggae, House & Techno). Inspired by the pioneering Chicago scene, it is the result of the alliance between the renown Wst Vaughn, Dstrcv, Lampone and Veritas, who will be our hosts on the live transmissions of the Makinmovs Radio Show, a space dedicated to the sonic terrain that brought them together and its development in Chile and the rest of the world.

 

If it’s a matter of street cred, the crew has become a bit of a musical scene of it’s own and an aesthetic. Makinmovs is one of the main musical collectives making the nights in Santiago pulse with energy, reaching a degree of international notoriety that has allowed it to collaborate with profiling labels and artists such as OSUK, Reminessence Records and DJ Spinn (from no less than Teklife, house of Rashad).


 

Makinmovs is also a bewilderment of 160 BPM oscillating between rabid drum machine rolls, claps that make the needles jump into the red, excursions into the realms of Dancehall and Trap and breakbeats that break along with your hips. Sinewave bass drops that vibrate within your guts and lungs, with vocal samples that draw you towards the battle. A most prolific crew with an ample repertoire of tracks and sets on their Soundcloud and an even greater music collection.

 

After such a regal mise-en-scene the team has taken it upon themselves to take the diffussion of their productions and the reach of Chile’s musical scene to a new level by presenting a series of carefully selected playlists featuring their favourite, most respected artists, the productions that catch their attention and a their label’s latest productions.
