Santeria Sessions, 31th July w/ Reburra & Jags

We have a new episode of Santeria Sessions in their 2020 WIDE residency, this time they bring in two Latinx artists with a lot of high sound magic.

Jags originally from the State of Mexico is a DJ and music producer. Jags started out as a very young DJ, entertaining his high school parties full of young people and techno. After that, he started getting involved with music production swimming among dark noises, “tumbadotes y bellakos”, his holy trinity to light up a party.

Gabriela Rivera, better known as Reburra, is a singer, cultural producer and identifying queer DJ from El Salvador, they started as a vocalist in the band “Cartas a Felice” and then joins the “Indie Collective” where their journey begins as a cultural promoter. After a while, Gaby decides that it is their time to be in the mix and they start djing. They are strongly influenced by the Brazilian Funky, the discounted cumbia, champeta, reggaeton and other Afro-Latin genres. In addition to being Reburra, they are a singer for the Manyula Dance Club, a Latin electro pop band, also part of the Ghetto Witchez crew and an anarchist in Anarki Perreo.
