Wara releases "Tiempo", the new single for the London-based band

The London group Wara, led by musician Eliane Correa, is premiering with its new promotional single “Tiempo”, accompanied by a video clip that is already available on YouTube.

“Tiempo” paints a picture of the power of time, exploring and exposing the intricacies of this fleeting concept. The song’s chorus ‘I got all the time in the world for you’ is a rebellious call to show love to each other in these fast-paced times. This song reminds us that it is impossible to cheat the clock, and how time goes by quickly without us even realizing it, we must live every minute to the fullest and make our time here count.

With its bass-heavy dembow groove sprinkled with samba drums, the palette of synths and guitars gives an ethereal twist to this powerful production. Produced by director Eliane Correa alongside their drummer Ernesto Marichales, Tiempo is a Latin urban anthem. Fedzilla’s bilingual raps laid over with Juanita’s powerhouse Latin vocals, sees the band create a tight but multilayered Latin-London sound.

Wara elaborates on “Tiempo”:

“As immigrants in London, we learn to make the most of our time here to make our presence count every day. There’s a sense of urgency generated by the uncertainty of whether we will be able to stay for another month, another year, another five years. Tiempo is about dropping your to-do list and meeting up with that friend you’ve been wanting to see for a while instead. Dropping your worries about the future. The hundred dollar face cream that promises to keep you young forever? Drop that one too. We can’t cheat time. Go out, sal a perrear, la vida es corta.”
