WIDE Radio Fiesta Vol. 4: Milkshk, Blasta Masta & totally cool dad

Next Thursday the 6th (Sep) we’ll be broadcasting the fourth installment of WIDE Radio Fiesta, mindlessly skipping across the Mexico-USA border on a livestream with Blasta Masta from Toluca, MX and totally cool dad from Florida. Later, we’re switching hemispheres and landing on Lima, Perú, where Milkshk will take control as we dive deeper into the night.

MILKSHK (Perú)

The indie project of Lima’s producer Areliz Ramos, who was inspired by trip hop, techno and ambient creating an unique melange full of echoes, dim lights and sensuality with a very vapourwave-y vibe. This time she’s come up with a mix where Lima’s Chinatown everyday sounds become a part of the soundscape along the tracklist.

BLASTA MASTA (México)

At the young age of  21, this producer from Toluca, Mexico has already worked in collabs with artists from his country, the States and Japan, producing his own very personal vision of electronic music in a dialog with afro-caribbean genres to bring it all the way down in the club, which earned him his place on the musical collective and label T.A.U.. His latest LP, Secta, shows a darker side of his productions, which will be featured along his setlist repertoire on our little soirée.

TOTALLY COOL DAD (EE. UU.)

Nathan, a 19 year old youngster is the party boy behind totally cool dad, with a near-obsession enthusiasm for house music and the glamour of its scene, adopting the persona of a posh boy lost in the sweaty state of Florida. Influenced by names like Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley and Madison Avenue, Nathan uses the past (the 80s and 90s) as a sort of placebo from better days as time goes by on his entrepreneurial vintage clothing store, spending every little break he gets to work in his passion for music, making crude collages of chopped up pop tunes with cheesy drum machine sounds.

On the direction of photography we’ve got one of the latest showpieces of our dear pal Paige Nolan, hailing from south England.
