We are back with our musical recommendations podcast. In its 46th edition, WIDE Recommends is narrated in English, starting with Jorja Smith’s tour mate, Ama Lou, moving on to Greentea Peng from South London, and with tracks by Ant Clemons, Summer Walker, 070 Shake and FKA Twigs, Girl power!
Ama Lou – “Northside”
Ama Lou has been very busy on tour with Jorja Smith and now she publishes her most recent single “Northside”, an ode to the neighborhood where she grew up, Stoke Newington. In the video, in addition to watching her sing and dance, she has invited some pals such as Taco from Odd Future, A$AP Nast and the model Fai Khadra.
Greentea Peng – “Mr Sun (miss da sun)”
From South London we present Greentea Peng with her relaxing single “Mr. Sun (miss da sun)”, extracted from its coming EP RISING, which will be released on November 1. The track is produced by his frequent collaborator Earbuds and comes after “Downers” made public in July.
070 Shake – “Fish On Land”
After sharing “Morrow” and “Nice To Have”, 070 Shake (signed by G.O.O.D Music), is back with a new single titled “Fish On Land”, before its debut, which introduces us to its smooth contemporary hip-hop, with dreamlike landscapes full of synthesizers.
Ant Clemons – “4 Letter Word”
In a discreet way, although featured by Timbaland, Ant Clemons presents the track “4 Letter Word”, a delicate ballad full of falsettos and powerful lyrics. It will quickly become your new artist to follow.
Summer Walker – “Stretch You Out”
In her new single “Stretch You Out”, alongside rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Summer Walker sings about the pain of a destructive relationship from the past. This song is part of her album Over It, released on October 4 through LoveReinaissance and Interscope Records.
FKA twigs – “home with you”
FKA twigs continues the promotion of their next album, MAGDALENE, for which she shares with us her third single “home with you”, after the collaboration with Future, “holy terrain”, and “Cellophane”. She delayed the release of this LP until the 8th of November so we’ll have to be patient with our muse
